What awaits

11 Classes

Warrior, Thief, Mage, Cleric, Ninja, Commando, Paladin, Bard, Shaman, Nomad — and the blood-soaked Anti-Paladin.

60 Levels

50 mortal levels of progression across dozens of zones, then 10 immortal ranks for those who ascend to build the world.

Quests & Rewards

Take contracts from the Questmaster, earn quest points, and trade them for gear you won't find anywhere else.

Fame Ranks

Climb from Citizen to Emperor. Every rank earns bonus attacks and stats — your legend made mechanical.

Poison Crafting

Harvest parts, concoct tinctures, and envenom your blades. The Anti-Paladin's trade is patient, lethal, and yours to master.

Group & Grind

Team up, share kills, and watch each other's health bars. Run up to 5 of your characters online at the same time — with no limit on how many you create.

When mortality ends

Death is only the beginning

Reach the mortal summit — level 50 — and the Reaper comes to make an offer. Shed your living flesh and rise undead.

Your new form is drawn from who you were: every mortal path opens its own dark transformations, each with a distinct ability set, its own stat caps and pools, and a signature power unlike any other. Become a Wraith, a Vampire, a Lich, a Banshee — or something worse.

And the dead don't forget. Your progress in each form is saved on its own, so you can return to the Reaper and take a different shape whenever the grave calls you back.

Your first hour

1

Make a character

Connect, pick a name, and roll your class. You'll wake in Midgaard with a starter kit.

2

Train up

Head down to the Valor Training Grounds and fight mobs your level. consider <mob> gauges the danger.

3

Practice your craft

Visit the Metaphysician and practice to learn skills and spells. help class covers all eleven.

4

Take a quest

Find the Questmaster, type quest request, and earn points, gold, and fame.

5

Don't fear death

Fall in battle and your gear stays in your corpse — go reclaim it. Rest, sleep, or find a regen room to recover.

6

Stick around

Logging out is always safe — type quit, or rent at the Midgaard Inn. Either way your character and gear are saved, and rent is free here. The game also auto-saves every couple of minutes.

A note on Gizmo

For those who remember Gizmo MUD — this one's for you. The people, the late-night runs, the stupid arguments over loot, the friendships that survived dial-up and 3am crashes. It mattered.

This MUD doesn't try to be Gizmo. It can't be. But it's built in that image — carrying forward what made it great and fixing what held it back. What Gizmo would have become if it kept evolving.

If you were there, welcome back.
If you weren't, welcome home.
